My name is Sarena Ebelacker and my Indian name is Khun Povi (Cornblossom). My Dad’s side of the family is from Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico. I have lived in Eagle River, Alaska for 15 years, which has a big Native population as well. Although I have a passion for traveling to new places and seeing new cultures, I will always call New Mexico home as my ancestors did long ago.

In 2007, I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art where I studied Environmental Design. With my Master’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, I plan to design cultural exhibits around the world while continuing my native traditions.
